Our expertise

JoAn and Mike Bjarko are the publishers and owners of the North Forty News, a monthly newspaper serving several communities in north-central Colorado.

JoAn Bjarko has a degree in journalism and has worked with daily, weekly and monthly newspapers for twenty-five years. She has taught journalism and writing at Colorado State University, Washington State University and the University of Idaho.

Mike Bjarko, Ph.D., has a science-based background. He has published numerous research articles and has served as a reviewer for professional journals.

Cherry Sokoloski has a master's degree in technical journalism. She has worked as a journalist, English teacher and public relations director.

Virginia De Herdt has a master's degree in English. She is a member of the American Society of Indexers and of the Society for Technical Communication.
